We recognize that shopping can be demanding. “Is this good for?” “Isn’t this supposed to be unhealthy for me?” Believe it or not, there are a bunch of foods that are great for your dental health. Here are a few treats you don’t have to get tense about:

-Almonds. Almonds contain teeth-supporting vitamins, so they’re a awesome snack to enhance your chompers on the go.

-Apples: To chew an apple, you have to develop a lot of saliva, and that saliva washes out bacteria from your oral cavity.

-Carrots. Carrots amp up spit production (which battles bacteria), and they’re lower in sugar than other munchable treats.

-Celery. With its tough, stringy structure, celery scrapes away bacteria and food remnants like toothbrushes do.

-Cheese. Cheese naturally diminishes the acidity in your oral cavity, helping to defend against cavity-causing bacteria.

-Strawberries. Strawberries have malic acids, which can be a great whitener for your enamel. (But ensure to brush after eating them!)

-Leafy greens. Leafy greens are full of minerals and vitamins that strengthen dental health, such as gum-enhancing folic acid.

-Water. By drinking water, you’ll flush away food remnants and bacteria from your mouth.

-Yogurt. Probiotics in yogurt force out hurtful bacteria from your gums. (Opt for yogurts without added sugars.)
